Wildlife Park (28 minutes/2300 m)
The Szeged Wildlife Park is one of the most popular destinations for families with young children visiting the city, but young people and seniors alike enjoy visiting it.
In its shady environment, not only do the residents feel at home, but visitors can also look forward to a pleasant and relaxing experience while exploring the park’s attractions.
Every resident of Szeged is rightly proud that the Wildlife Park is also renowned for its commitment to nature conservation. Many animals are kept as part of the species conservation program, and as a Nature Conservation Rescue Center, they take in hundreds of animals annually that would otherwise perish in the wild. It’s a source of pride that it was among the first zoos in Hungary where animals received spacious enclosures.
The attractions at the Wildlife Park are expanding year by year, so even if you’ve visited before, it’s worth coming back. Here you’ll find a jaguar house and enclosure, a terrarium house, an African section with cheetah, guenon, crocodile, and finch exhibits, a wolverine enclosure, the Siberian tiger house, as well as a North Chinese leopard enclosure, a giraffe house, and a penguin exhibit. As the latest developments, an elephant house and a rhinoceros house have been built. The popular resident of the latter building is Csülök, the Indian rhinoceros.
